- American Bison leather is produced from North American Bison hides. Bison leather offers a more textured grain structure when compared to standard cow leather. Our American Bison is lightly tumbled offering a semi-soft hand feel. It is also waxed and oiled giving it a nice pull up. What you will notice on naturally tumbled leather (non-plated or stamped grain) is that the grain texture varies from one area of the hide to the other. For example, the belly may have a loose and large grain texture, where the back bone has a tight grain.

Bison are found in North American and parts of Europe, while Buffalo are found in South Asia and Africa.
