Picker/Packer is a position in our Warehouse Team that focuses on picking and packing orders, receiving shipments, and helping with warehouse projects. Our team is small, and job duties can change based on the needs of the day. This person should be flexible, eager to help where needed, and work well with others and by themselves.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pick & pack orders
  • Receiving and storing incoming shipments
  • Quality control for orders picked by other team members
  • Carry up to 50 lb boxes
  • Be on your feet for extended periods of time

Material Handler

Material Handlers work in our leather department as leather cutters, general receivers/packers and laborers. Our team is small, and job duties can change based on the needs of the day in the warehouse. This person should be flexible, eager to help where needed, and work well with others and by themselves.

Much of the position will revolve around leather, but no direct experience is required! This person will be cutting large 25 square foot hides into belt straps and squares, receiving leather shipments, and packing leather orders. It does 'not' require free-hand cutting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cutting hides into straps and panel squares
  • Receiving and storing incoming shipments
  • Carry large 25 square foot skins that weight up to 40 pounds
  • Be on your feet for extended periods of time

Order Checker

After other members of the team pick orders, the orders go through an Order Checker who checks correct items were pulled, correct quantity was pulled, and then packing prep. Our team is small, and job duties can change based on the needs of the day. This person should be flexible, comfortable on their feet, eager to help where needed, work well with others and by themselves, and should have high levels of attention to detail!

Customer Service & Marketing Team

Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representatives work in our Newburyport, MA office and perform a variety of customer-facing responsibilities primarily focusing on phone, chat, email, and general support. Candidates are also expected to take on tasks and responsibilities as needed to help support the team with marketing efforts and other initiatives to grow the business.

We seek candidates who show high levels of motivation, can perform all customer service tasks, be adaptive to an ever-changing environment, and have the ability to multi-task and solve problems. Candidates will have to be able to gain an understanding of our products and industry to be able to advise customers on what to buy and how to use products.

Responsibilities:

  • Phone, email, and website chat support for customers before and after sales
  • Sell products and services to current and potential customers by answering product/service questions and providing advice and solutions to customer questions
  • Develop & establish relationships with current and new customers
  • Take email and phone orders
  • Resolve product or delivery issues by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, following up to ensure resolution
  • Recommend potential products or services to the Buckleguy team by collecting customer suggestions and needs, or the needs of the company
  • Engaging with customers on channels such as social media
  • Help maintain e-commerce website and other marketing assistance as necessary
  • Data and product entry
  • Contribute to the ‘team’ and the responsibility to take on new tasks as they arise

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be customer service oriented and demonstrate exceptional phone skills, a quality focus, problem solving abilities, conflict resolution, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Technology and ecommerce experience. This position handles over 10 different web platforms.
  • Must be competent with all forms technology including computers, creating Excel reports, social media platforms, etc.
  • Adaptable to new job responsibilities
  • Strong typing speed

Marketing Assistant

Buckleguy seeks candidates with interest or experience in marketing to help our Marketing Department grow. Depending on the candidate, this could be a part-time or full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Content generation, copywriting, and scheduling
  • Reviewing and editing product descriptions
  • Proofreading
  • Commenting on social media, YouTube, reviews, etc.
  • Graphic design for banners, photo editing, ads, infographics, etc.
  • Search Engine Optimization (Google, Amazon, Etsy, etc.)
  • Testing new web content, programs, systems, etc.
  • General data entry
  • Reviewing automated content for accuracy and performance
  • Data analysis
  • Market research
  • Customer Service support as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be technically-minded and able to quickly navigate and learn various computer software
  • Proficient writer and copy editor
  • Strong preference for candidates with skills in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, and graphic design

Leatherwork Education Specialist

Buckleguy seeks in-house leather crafters / leatherworkers for our YouTube channel. Candidates should be highly skilled and knowledgeable in leather work, know their way around a leather workshop, and be able to create and develop ideas, projects, and education for our channel. We do not have a set job description for this position and look for candidates who can help grow our YouTube channel exponentially!

Please see our YouTube channel here: www.youtube.com/@Buckleguycom. Currently our channel features videos about our tools, leathers, hardware, and other items. What we need is skilled leather workers who can demonstrate how to make completed leather goods, come up with projects, help educate our community on the do's and dont's, and more. The videos will be filmed by our videographer in our studio here in Newburyport, MA. Your hands will be on camera and you will have to speak to the audience, but to begin your face will not be included.

We plan to increase our content around education and have a running list of video ideas. But we need candidates to bring ideas to us as well. Ideas include:

  • Projects: How to make a - wallet, handbag, tote, key fob, valet tray, etc.
  • Education: Differences between veg and chrome leather, what is aniline finish, leather layers, etc.
  • How to use: edge paint, bevelers, rivet setters, transfer tape, Fiebing's dye, etc.

The position is part time with hours working around the schedules of everyone involved in shooting. We anticipate ~4-6 hours every 2 weeks at a minimum and more as we develop the role. This would be a long-term relationship for the right candidate.

Requirements:

  • Prior on-camera YouTube or other video streaming experience, or willingness to learn the medium.
  • Must be able to be physically present for video shoots at Buckleguy HQ in Newburyport, MA at times that overlap with regular business hours (Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm)

Inside Sales Representative

Inside Sales Representatives must have proven experience in lead generation and new business development to be able to cultivate client relationships and sales through our website. Compensation is a combination of a base salary plus a competitive commission percentage based on sales.

In this position, you will thrive at building relationships and be responsible for research, lead generation, qualifying and closing new business opportunities, and managing a sales pipeline in our CRM. You will build a book of business that will be managed through our sales CRM with varying commission levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting, qualifying and developing sales opportunities
  • Establishing and managing client relationships
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Calling, emailing, and creative methods for finding leads
  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs
  • Maintaining prospect information, statuses and opportunities in a CRM
