I have an older Nalgene hydration pack which uses this buckle on the sternum strap. My existing buckle broke, and I assumed I'd need to replace the pack or do a bunch of sewing to replace both halves of the buckle. As it happens, this is an exact match, so I was able to replace only the broken part.
