BG Leather French Edge Skiver, Multiple Sizes
Used for skiving leather in a fixed width. Skiving leather is the process of reducing leather thickness from a heavy weight to a lighter weight. Often used to skive corners, edges, folds, and hard to reach areas. It can also be used as a leather grooving tool. The BG leather French skiver is made with a BG custom designed cocobolo wood handle that fits comfortably in the hand for long stretches of work. The blade is hand sharped, mirror polished, and made with DC53 steel that will hold up and remain sharper for longer.
