Hermann Oak Skins

Tanned in the USA by Hermann Oak, these leather sides are produced from premium domestic steer hides using traditional vegetable pit-tanning methods. Known for their firmness, consistency, and clean grain, Hermann Oak sides offer strong cutting yields and excellent durability. Many are hot-stuffed with blends of tallows, waxes, and oils to create a smooth surface, structured temper, and rich, struck-through color. Finished on both grain and flesh sides, they are well suited for belts, straps, equestrian goods, and other structured leather projects, developing a polished patina over time.
