Hermann Oak, Natural Strap Tooling Leather, Bend

Hermann Oak Strap and Tooling Leather is a full grain, vegetable tanned leather made in the USA using the tannery’s traditional process. Unlike many vegetable tanned leathers, Hermann Oak hides go directly into tannins after the beam house stage without being pickled, resulting in a firmer leather with fewer residual salts and exceptionally smooth cutting. The natural grain enamel is preserved rather than stripped away, which supports even dye and oil absorption, crisp stamping, and strong burnishing. With its firm temper and excellent molding characteristics, this leather dries to a durable, long lasting shape and contains no chrome salts that could tarnish metal, making it a trusted choice for belts, straps, holsters, and other structured leather goods where clean tooling and dependable performance matter.
