Material Handler
Material Handlers work in our leather department as leather cutters, general receivers/packers and laborers. Our team is small, and job duties can change based on the needs of the day in the warehouse. This person should be flexible, eager to help where needed, and work well with others and by themselves.
Much of the position will revolve around leather, but no direct experience is required! This person will be cutting large 25 square foot hides into belt straps and squares, receiving leather shipments, and packing leather orders. It does 'not' require free-hand cutting.
Job Responsibilities:

After other members of the team pick orders, the orders go through an Order Checker who checks correct items were pulled, correct quantity was pulled, and then packing prep. Customer Service Representative
Customer Service Representatives work in our Newburyport, MA office and perform a variety of customer-facing responsibilities primarily focusing on phone, chat, email, and general support. Candidates are also expected to take on tasks and responsibilities as needed to help support the team with marketing efforts and other initiatives to grow the business.
We seek candidates who show high levels of motivation, can perform all customer service tasks, be adaptive to an ever-changing environment, and have the ability to multi-task and solve problems. Candidates will have to be able to gain an understanding of our products and industry to be able to advise customers on what to buy and how to use products.
Responsibilities:
- Phone, email, and website chat support for customers before and after sales
- Sell products and services to current and potential customers by answering product/service questions and providing advice and solutions to customer questions

Marketing Assistant
Buckleguy seeks candidates with interest or experience in marketing to help our Marketing Department grow. Depending on the candidate, this could be a part-time or full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Content generation, copywriting, and scheduling
- Reviewing and editing product descriptions
- Proofreading
- Commenting on social media, YouTube, reviews, etc.
- Graphic design for banners, photo editing, ads, infographics, etc.

Leatherwork Education Specialist
Buckleguy seeks in-house leather crafters / leatherworkers for our YouTube channel. Candidates should be highly skilled and knowledgeable in leather work, know their way around a leather workshop, and be able to create and develop ideas, projects, and education for our channel. We do not have a set job description for this position and look for candidates who can help grow our YouTube channel exponentially!

What we need is skilled leather workers who can demonstrate how to make completed leather goods, come up with projects, help educate our community on the do's and dont's, and more. The videos will be filmed by our videographer in our studio here in Newburyport, MA. Your hands will be on camera and you will have to speak to the audience, but to begin your face will not be included.
We plan to increase our content around education and have a running list of video ideas. But we need candidates to bring ideas to us as well. Ideas include:
- Projects: How to make a - wallet, handbag, tote, key fob, valet tray, etc.
- Education: Differences between veg and chrome leather, what is aniline finish, leather layers, etc.
- How to use: edge paint, bevelers, rivet setters, transfer tape, Fiebing's dye, etc.
The position is part time with hours working around the schedules of everyone involved in shooting. We anticipate ~4-6 hours every 2 weeks at a minimum and more as we develop the role. This would be a long-term relationship for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Prior on-camera YouTube or other video streaming experience, or willingness to learn the medium.
- Must be able to be physically present for video shoots at Buckleguy HQ in Newburyport, MA at times that overlap with regular business hours (Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm)

This role begins by learning the core administrative and operational tasks that support the sales process, such as coordinating samples, quotes, and order tracking, while building a strong understanding of our products, systems, and customer needs.
