What is Stingray Leather: Stingray leather is prized among exotic leather for its unique look, durability, and sheen. Sourced from the rich, tropical waters of Indonesia, our stingray skins undergo expert tanning and finishing on site to enhance the naturally pebbled texture and brilliant luster. Known for its extreme toughness, stingray leather is highly resistant to wear, water, and fire, making it a favorite for high-end accessories, wallets, knife sheaths, and more.

The surface of each stingray skin is pebbled with beadlike structures known as ‘dermal denticles’ made from dense calcium similar to teeth. At the center of the spine is a raised diamond-shaped ‘crown’ or ‘eye’ naturally forming from the densest area of denticles and often sought after as a focal point for luxury goods. Our extensive selection of colors of stingray leather and other varieties of exotic leather skins is the largest in the USA.

Source: Our stingray skins are sourced from the wild in Indonesia, where the meat is used for consumption.
