Renia Aquilim 315 is a water-based contact adhesive made for leathercraft, footwear, orthotics, and general workshop use. This professional-grade dispersion adhesive is designed to create strong, flexible bonds without solvent exposure, making it a more workshop-friendly option for indoor use. Built on chloroprene rubber dispersion technology, Aquilim 315 offers reliable initial tack, durable final adhesion, and compatibility with a wide range of materials such as leather, rubber, EVA, and more. It also supports both cold bonding and heat reactivation workflows for added flexibility in repair and production settings. All Renia adhesives are 100% free of Toluene and MEK.

  • Allow the adhesive to dry to the proper tack stage before bonding. Dry time will vary depending on temperature, humidity, material type, and coat thickness. Heat activation may be used to improve bond strength on difficult materials.

  • Surface preparation and heat activation may be required for certain synthetics.

Application Instructions:

1. Prepare surfaces: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and properly prepared. Lightly roughen smooth materials for improved adhesion.
2. Apply adhesive: Apply an even coat to both mating surfaces.
3. Allow to tack: Let the adhesive dry to the appropriate tack stage before bonding.
4. Bond surfaces: Join carefully and apply firm, even pressure.
5. Cure: Bond strength continues to build over time, with best results after approximately 24 hours. Heat activation may improve bond strength on difficult materials.

Cold Weather Shipping Restrictions:

This product is sensitive to freezing temperatures and may be damaged if exposed to cold conditions during transit. To help ensure it arrives in proper condition, orders may be delayed or held when shipping routes are experiencing freezing weather.

Contact Adhesives vs Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSAs):

• Contact adhesives bond instantly when both sides are joined and are difficult to reposition afterward.
• Pressure sensitive adhesives will not bond until pressure is applied and can be repositioned until then.
